Go ye into ALL the world, and preach the gospel to every creature
I would like you to take a moment to read that portion of scripture included in the title, after you have, you’ll notice that the word ‘ALL’ is capitalized. Now, at first sight, some of you might consider that to be a mistake, or a small type-o, but it’s nothing of the sort.
Over the past years, I’ve been on countless mission trips, to different places across the world, but never have I been brave enough to go to where I feel I, we, should go. Across the world, there are over 50 primarily Muslim countries, and over 45 primarily Islam countries. That alone, is more half of the countries in the world.
Recently I have been praying over this matter, and have finally realized what God’s will for me is. And what I feel I must do, is to go into those countries, some of which conditions are hostile, to spread the word of God, to the people who desperately need to hear it.
Knowing what I have to do, I have dropped out of college, emptied my savings, sold my car, and began to plan for my first mission to Mauritania. Mauritania is over 99% Muslim, and is an Islamic state. You may ask the reason for my first journey to Mauritania over all of the other Islamic states, and that’s because that is the only location I can get approved for a visa to within 4 weeks. I applied for my visa to Mauritania 3 weeks ago, and upon doing so I had to have a vaccination for yellow fever, and provide multiple forms to the Mauritanian government. After finally being approved, I expect my tourist visa to be here within the next few days.
I can only stay in Mauritania for an absolute maximum of 40 days. In that time I intend on spreading the word of Christ to everyone in my power. Following this trip, I intend to go to either Yemen or Turkey, depending on which country approves my visa application first.
This will be the first of many updates, and if anyone else feels lead to be a missionary for Christ, I beg you to speak to your church about what you feel lead to do.
Prayers are always welcome, and appreciated.
Thank you
